First day at SigTech

9:30 am  Meet your HR Business Partner at Reception

  • We will take you up to your desk, introduce you to your team
  • Give you your access card / key
  • Make copies of your passport or I-9 documents
  • Give you a tour of the office
  • Introduce you to your buddy

10:00am  IT induction

  • You’ll first meet Bhavin or David who will help you set up your laptop
  • The IT team will give you a short session training on our common software

10:30 am  Security induction

  • Our security team will talk you through our security practices
  • As part of this, you will need to complete your KnowBefore training in the first 30 days

11:00 am  Meet your manager

  • For the next few hours, your manager will work with you on topics related to your role

12:00 pm  Meet your buddy

  • Your buddy will collect you for a quick tour of the local area
  • You’ll get some great suggestions for lunch and coffee 

13:00 pm  HR induction

  • Your HR Business Partner will meet you for a HR induction
  • Here you will learn about our our policies, benefits, key resources and our culture

Hybrid work

Hybrid work

Whilst we value time in the office with our colleagues, we have a flexible WFH model, and trust employees to get work done wherever they are.

  • Our working in office days are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
  • Work from home days are Wednesday and Fridays
  • Any changes to your scheduled have to be agreed with your manager and placed in our HR system and in your diary 48 hours in advance
  • While in the office, we provide healthy snacks, tea, coffee, fresh fruit for all employees 
Unlimited holiday

Our philosophy toward holidays is simple: we treat you like an adult. 

  • All employees have unlimited time-off for holidays
  • Ahead of holidays, you must ensure your assigned work is completed or handed over
  • As always, time-off is at the discretion of your manager and business need
  • All time-off must be booked through our HR system and placed in your diary
  • Unlimited holiday is not a supplement for taking time off sick
Maternity and Paternity Cover

Health

All employees have access to optional private medical healthcare options, as well as dental and life assurance/insurance.

  • Employees are eligible for our Private Medical Insurance Plan offered through Healix Healthcare Services (London) and Aetna (NYC) 
  • Alongside a vast range of medical procedures, hospital charges and prioirty GP appointments, Healix and Aetna provide employees with even more benefits
  • You will receive all the relevant sign-up details within your first 7 days of joining
  • If you have an existing claim through a prior provider, (UK) then we recommend you reach out to Healix as soon as possible, via the website
  • All employees are automatically opted into our company’s Life Assurance/Insurance scheme. Providers vary based on employment location, and protection is 4 x base salary.  
Retirement

Pension (London)

  • All full-time UK employees are enrolled on our company pension, beginning on their start date
  • If you wish to opt-out of the pension scheme you will need to email [email protected]
  • Your first month pension will still be deducted if you opt-out, but will be repaid the following month
  • Scottish Widows is our pension provider. You will receive a welcome back from them detailing your plan. 
  • SigTech pays 3% into your pension pot
  • Employees pay 5% into their pension pot

401K (NYC)

  • All US-based employees are eligible for 401k after 3 months of service
  • If you sign up for the plan, SigTech will match up to 4% of your contributions
  • The plan is immediately vested, and you will be able to pick different investment plans through the provider
  • You may rollover any previous plan or accounts from a prior qualified retirement plan
